Student Ledger Accounts

The WRHS Instrumental Music Boosters uses its general fund to support WRHS instrumental music ensembles. In the discretion of the WRHS Instrumental Music Boosters Board of Directors, net proceeds raised from certain fundraising activities may be split between the general fund and student ledger accounts of those students who participate in the fundraiser. From time to time, the WRHS Instrumental Music Boosters Board of directors will determine:

      • Which fundraising activities will be eligible for splitting proceeds between the general fund and student ledgers.

      • The portion of net proceeds that will be allocated to student ledger accounts.

Guidelines

  • Every current and future WRHS instrumental music student who participates in WRHS instrumental music booster fundraisers may sign up for a student ledger account, subject to these guidelines.

  • When a student with a student ledger account participates in an eligible fundraising activity, the designated portion of the net proceeds of the funds raised will be credited to the students ledger account.

  • Although eligible fundraisers and the splitting percentages are subject to change, eligible fundraisers typically include product fundraisers and Mile High Stadium events.

  • Student Ledger Accounts:

        • Cannot be taken out in cash.

        • Must be applied towards defined music fees of defined fines before they can be used for discretionary items.

              • Defined fees include the cost of ensembles such as Winter Percussion, Farmer Pride, Jazz Ensemble, Color Guard, and Winter Guard that have a fair share fee. Class fees that are paid to the school financial secretary can also be paid from the student ledger.

              • Defined fines are any music-related fines that are owed to the school financial secretary.

              • Discretionary items include the cost of music-related trips, private lessons, music apps, instrument-related expenses, and any other board-approved music related items.

  • After May 15th of each year, the WRHS Instrumental Music Boosters will automatically apply funds in the student ledger account to any outstanding unpaid fees or fines owed to the Boosters or WRHS.

  • After May 15th of each year, the booster club will automatically transfer all remaining funds in the student ledger accounts of graduating seniors to the general fund. The graduating students parents/guardians may request by either email or writing addressed to the WRHS instrumental music booster club treasurer by May 15, that the balance of funds be transferred to:

        • To a sibling that will be entering the WRHS instrumental music program in the next two years.

        • To a specific family/student currently enrolled in the WRHS instrumental music program.
